  It takes an average of 4 lbs of applied potassium to raise your soil test levels by 1 lb.  This is because potassium is subject to nutrient tie up and leaching.  Phosphorus in some instances requires 9 elemental lbs to raise the soil test by 1 lb.  This is because of nutrient tie up (when a positive or negative molecule attaches to a molecule of a different charge and is no longer available to the plant).  

When you apply Rhizo-Max Premier with potash and other fertilizers like DAP, AMS, etc., the rate of nutrient tie up and leaching is significantly reduced.  This is because Rhizo-Max Premier has a very high CEC and is a natural chelator.
